HAWARDEN—An 18-year-old Hawarden resident was arrested about 6:25 p.m. Friday, May 6, on charges of unlawfully manufacturing, delivering or possessing with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance — marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and failure to affix a tax stamp.
The arrest of Scott Peter Maher stemmed from the stop of a 2004 Chevrolet Tracker for a broken windshield on the 1800 block of Avenue M in Hawarden, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
The odor of marijuana was detected coming from Maher.
A search of Maher located two bags wrapped around the front of him, according to the incident report.
